Returning to Exhibiting-Post COVID
It’s that time of year where we are typically bustling and busy wrapping up the last of the major trade shows of the year for our clients… but we all know this year is has shaped up to be ALOT different.
We’ve missed our normal over the past 7 months – designing, building and managing exhibits for shows like NACS, SEMA, FABTECH, and we know your sales teams have missed these exhibition opportunities as well. While many shows have introduced virtual components to fill the void of the COVID-19 cancellations, but lets face it – NOTHING can replace the power of an effective trade show marketing program.
The long awaited return to the trade show floor will be here soon. Much like everything else in our worlds – yes – your trade show will look different too! One-way aisles, elbow bumps instead of hand shakes and the overwhelming scent of hand sanitizer will likely be filling the exhibit halls. Rules and regulations for health and safety will be scrutinized and enforced more than ever – but how will this effect you as the exhibitor?
We are anticipating that your exhibit design requests may look a bit different – with the addition of items like plexi counter guards, or even clear partitions within your booth space to lend to social distancing while not sacrificing traffic flow within your space.
Items like touch screens have continued to gain popularity over the past few years – and while they aren’t going away – maybe you will need some additional storage space in your booth to ensure you have enough disinfectant to clean surfaces throughout the event. We also see our hand sanitizier stations and custom branded masks being a popular add on item – to make both your booth staff and your booth visitors feel safe at all times.
In some cases, we anticipate that you may be tasked with downsizing your booth, or finding a new exhibit design solution that will reduce spending on items like shipping, material handling, and I&D. If this is the case, our exhibit design team would be happy to help you come up with a more portable, yet still customized exhibit design to fit the bill. Two examples below – but the sky is the limit!
Reducing the number of shows you are going to next year but still need a new booth? A customized rental exhibit may be the answer.
Yes, its still a weird time to be talking about your 2021 conferences and trade shows- but pandemic aside – it’s never too early to start the wheels turning. With all the changes that are bound to be in place once the green light is given and the exhibit hall doors re-open, don’t delay the planning process. We are ready to get back to business and exhibiting – let us help you prepare to do the same!
